Secret marriage of Prabu Deva and Nayanatara

Posted by Libran

Breaking news of a Telugu channel has it that Nayanthara’s married Prabhu Deva secretly in Hyderabad!

While the Kollywood grapevine holds that Prabhu Deva and Nayanthara are the hottest couple in town and does not deny rumours of them being in love ever since they worked together in Vijay’s Villu, sources close to the actress have denied the marriage. “She was not even in Hyderabad when rumours of her marriage broke,” they said.

The choreographer, actor-turned-director Prabhu Deva is a married man with three children, and went through a harrowing time a few months back when he lost his eldest son. The buzz was that it was Nayan, who gave him strength to come out of his personal grief, which was compounded by the fact that his marriage with Ramlath, his one-time dance assistant, was on the rocks.

Kollywood sources also attribute Nayan’s reluctance to party to her closeness to Prabhu. She withdrew into a shell and cut off all her friends in the industry. Her frequent trips to temples are also attributed to the man in her life, who is an ardent Hindu devotee. When asked about Nayanthara by the local press, Prabhu Deva said that “it is personal”.

Prabhu Deva also went out of his way to improve her on-screen dance movements, as he personally coached her. Many choreographers feel that she has improved leaps and bounds in the Vaada Mapillai... song in Villu. Recently, Prabhu Deva created a stir when he went to Kumarakom at his expense and without taking any fee choreographed two songs that were picturised on Nayanthara for the Malayalam film Bodyguard!

The rumours about their affair, was confirmed when the actress tattooed ‘Prabhu’ (P in English and the rest in Tamil), a little above her wrist at a newly-opened tattoo lounge in Hyderabad. Remember Saif Ali Khan’s ‘Kareena’ tattoo on his forearm, which he is said to have got to prove he is seriousness about her. Earlier, Nayanthara had also pierced her nose, while shooting for her Malayalam film Bodyguard in Kerala. It is said she did this because Prabhu loves it!

Sources close to the actress say that “they may be in love, but marriage is not on the cards in the near future as they are both highly professional people who are concerned about their respective careers.”

Nayanthara is doing one Tamil film, Aadhavan with Suriya and two Telugu films, one with NTR and the other with Ravi Teja, and Bodyguard in Malayalam with Dileep. Prabhu Deva is making a comeback to acting and is playing the lead in Thangar Bachan’s offbeat Kalavadiya Pozhudugal, and is directing, the Hindi remake of his Pokkiri — Wanted Dead and Alive — with Salman Khan and Ayesha Takia for producer Boney Kapoor.

Kylie Minogue comes to Bollywood

Posted by Libran

The sexy and beautiful Kylie Minogue arrives in Mumbai next month to record a song for the movie Blue to be recorded by AR Rahman.

She'll be pocketing a cool $1 million for recording the song. How nice if I was able to do that but then I can't say much about my vocals.

Kylie was not Rahman’s first choice. Among the contenders for the spot, were Madonna and Rihanna. Madonna declined because she was going through a bitter divorce and Rihanna's asking price was too much.

About The Movie
Reputed to be Bollywood's most expensive movie with a budget of $28million, it stars Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif.
According to debutant director Anthony D’ Souza, this movie was inspired by Hollywood's The Deep and Jaws.

The Plot
It's about 3 friends who set out to find a lost treasure guarded by sharks. Just to pump up the action , they are using 40 REAL untrained sharks.

Let's see how it fares at the box-office once it's released.

Happy Birthday Rajinikanth !

Posted by Libran

A typical rags to riches story, an unknown by the name of Sivaji Rao who worked as a bus ticket collector in Banglore was discovered by K.Balachander and was renamed Rajinikanth.
His way of acting which consisted of stunts, body language, dialogue attracted the masses so much so that whenever he appeared on screen , audiences screamed in delight.

This raised his star status from 'Style Mannan' to 'Superstar'. No performer has achieved such an iconic status in the industry. All Rajni films ran to packed houses, his film releases were celebrated as major events, his cutouts were showered with milk and honey and adorned with hefty flower garlands.

In spite of of his Superstar status, Rajini remained a humble and never let stardom go to his head. He remained approachable to his fans while encouraging them to think and do good for themselves. He became a mentor and continues to do so. Such is his quality.

Actors who are stars in other languages have high regards of him. So powerful is his appeal, that any comments or statements he makes has a profound influence on the governments in the state.

Rajni's family has always been shielded from all the glitz and glamour. Rajni's elder daughter Aishwarya is married to Dhanush, another hero in Kollywood; the couple have a one-year-old son named Yatra. His second daughter Soundarya is into graphics and designing. She has set up her own company Ocher Studios in Chennai. Soundarya's very first project is an animation movie, Sultan featuring the Superstar in as an animation.

Kuselan being his most recent movie, had a very good response, proves that he still is the reigning king of Tamil cinema. Next on the cards is Endhiran with Aishwarya Rai.

Let's hope he's got much more to give us .

God Bless You Thalaiva !

Terminator Man to star in Peraanmai

Posted by Libran

Lead actor Jeyam Ravi will be rubbing shoulders with Roland Kickinger who played the role of a killing machine in Terminator Salvation - The Future Begins. He has taken a villain role in the movie. He was quite excited about the fact that the shooting was done in the dense forests of Kerala because of the lush greenery.

The story is about a forest officer played by Jeyam Ravi who fights for the rights of the tribes people. It's been said Jayam Ravi has gone through rigorous training in the areas of archery, shooting , fencing and martial arts, for this movie.

There'll be 5 heroines for this movie. They are Tanshika, Saranya, Vasundhara, Liyasri and Varsha. So they will be adding the sparkle to the movie. Jananathan, who gave us the award winning Iyarkai and the futuristic Ee, is the director of this movie.

I enjoy watching Jeyam Ravi's movies because of his active personality during acting which also gives credence to the movies he's in.

Let's see how it fares at the box office.

The credit crisis has found it's way into Bollywood. Well not in the the way you expect it but reflected in a movie called Equated Monthly Installment or "EMI" for short. A comedy flick about different characters indulge in the wants. Their lives are affected by one common problem, that of, accumulated debts which they are unable to pay and how they eventually overcome it.

Saurabh Kabra will be directing the movie which stars Sanjay Dutt, Urmila Matondkar and Arjun Rampal. The release of the movie has been slated for release later this month.
For those who are in this predicament could probably get a few pointers from this movie. Who knows it could be a life changing moment !
